ICI Journals Master List

The ICI Journals Master List is an international indexing database of scientific journals. The database includes journals that have undergone a multi-dimensional parametric evaluation process. The fundamental condition for indexation is that editorial offices adhere to the principle of transparency and demonstrate reliable editorial services. Journals that meet the applicable indexing criteria receive an ICV (Index Copernicus Value) index, valid for one year, reflecting the journal’s level of development and its impact on the scientific community.

The ICI Journals Master List national license provides access to the database’s restricted resources, created and made available by Index Copernicus sp. z o.o. These resources include annually collected survey data from journals regarding:

  • publishing activities,
  • editorial procedures,
  • metadata,
  • publishing stability,
  • internationalization,
  • tools for identifying publications and authors,

and other data (41 criteria in total). This data forms the basis for calculating the Index Copernicus Value (ICV). Furthermore, the database provides open access to basic journal data:

  • journal passports,
  • bibliographic data,
  • ICV index,
  • Ministry of Science and Higher Education scores, etc.

The closed data license provides the ability to search and browse the data and the right to download the complete data set for all journals, with the possibility of further use under the terms of the license agreement. The license is fully financed by a grant from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for the Virtual Science Library.
