UpToDate is a new full-text database in the field of medicine. This excellent diagnostic tool provides access to the latest scientifically validated information on all diseases. The database contains more than 10,500 studies, over 6,000 monographs of drugs as well as patient information, photos, tables, charts and films. The database is developed and regularly updated by a team of over 6,500 doctors from around the world – on average every 48 hours.
UpToDate provides doctors and students with:
- the latest knowledge, provided by authorities in various medical specialties,
- practical tips for the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases,
- a search engine for clinical symptoms of disease states.
All information contained in the database meets the “evidence–based” criteria, developed by the Cochrane group. It is based on experience of the authors, indications of national committees and the most significant medical journals of various publishers, including: American Heart Journal, American Journal of Cardiology, American Journal of Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine, British Medical Journal, Chest, Circulation, Current Opinion in Nephrology and Hypertension, European Heart Journal, Hypertension, Lancet, Mayo Proceedings, New England Journal of Medicine.
