ScienceDirect is a full-text scientific database developed by the Elsevier publishing house. It contains articles from peer-reviewed journals in the following fields of knowledge: technical sciences, chemistry, physics, mathematics, medical sciences, social sciences and humanities. Students and employees of the University of Opole have access to journal titles from the Freedom Collection.

Time scope of the collection: 1995-present

Under the new agreement for 2022-2024, the Elsevier license covers journals from the Cell group (19 titles), the Lancet group (4 titles) and 7 Science Direct thematic collections: Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology; Computer Science; Engineering; Health Sciences; Immunology and Microbiology; Mathematics; Physics and Astronomy. In total, there are currently 1,594 journals, including 1,232 current journals from 1995 and 364 archival journals, see list/catalog 2024. More details on the license can be found HERE.
Attention. Use a browser other than Chrome to download the list/catalog.

The database is available on the publisher’s server (ScienceDirect Online) and on the ICM server (Infona). Science Direct Online is a version of the same database – the content is the same as on the ICM server but it has a few additional tools.

After entering the Infona website, click: advanced search.
In the field: All indexed fields – select: Data set.
In the field next to it, select the appropriate base, in this case: Elsevier.
